What PAEA learning activity did you attend and when? Facilitated multiple Clinical Coordinators and Faculty jumpstarts and workshops
Would you recommend this learning activity to other members and, if so, why?
I would highly recommend applying through PAEA to facilitate workshops, jumpstarts, and accelerators. If you have attended any of these events and have gained personal experience in your faculty role, your expertise is invaluable to new faculty members. The gratification of being able to share what you’ve learned is humbling, and the experience of working with PA faculty from across the country is empowering!
What was your biggest takeaway/”aha” moment? My biggest takeaway from facilitating is continuing to recognize that I always have more to learn. Even when functioning in the facilitator role, I always leave the sessions with new ideas, a renewed sense of purpose, or insights on how to improve our program.
Tell us about what you have put into practice because of this learning activity. Through my experiences as a facilitator, I have met and engaged with so many other PA educators. This has allowed me to grow my professional network and truly become immersed in the collaboration between faculty that PAEA so seamlessly fosters. I have collaborated with faculty from other programs on countless occasions to share resources, best practices, and survive and thrive in the ever-changing world of PA education.
