BIPOC Faculty Development

As Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) PA educators, we strive daily to create brave spaces and safe spaces for our students. Our goal every day is to support them to be all they want to become and all that we envision they can become as clinicians. But where do we go for support when our cups overflow and our plates are full?

The BIPOC Faculty Development webpage has been created with us at heart. We have created a space where BIPOC PA educators can not only find resources to support our professional growth but also resources to nurture our spirits. It is our hope that BIPOC PA educators and those who are currently practicing but considering making the transition from the clinic to the classroom will find this space to be inspiring and that it creates a sense of belonging.

Health Educator Webinar Series

This series was developed through hard work and incredible vision by Professor Andrea McKinnond, MMS, PA-C, and Dr. Artina Dawkins. Ms. McKinnond, in particular, has created much of this content and curriculum, and we are grateful to both her and Dr. Dawkins for what we already know is going to be a game-changer in helping our colleagues transition from clinical practice to education.
