Criterion-Referenced Testing and End of Rotation™ Exams: A Focus on Scoring

End of Rotation™ exams are a set of objective standardized evaluations intended to serve as one measure of the medical knowledge students gain during specific supervised clinical practice experiences. More information is available here: https://paeaonline.org/assessment/end-of-rotation 

This webinar will explain the purpose of the PAEA End of Rotation exams and provide an overview of scale scores. The material presented will help faculty develop an understanding of scale scoring and how to apply the scores appropriately to the program.

• Describe the assessments that comprise a SCPE grade 
• Review the intended purpose of End of Rotation exams and explain scaled scores 
• Demonstrate how to interpret End of Rotation exams scores in the context of a student’s mastery of the relevant content knowledge
