2018 Don Pedersen Research Grant Recipients Announced

The PAEA Research Department, Grants & Scholarship Review Committee, and Research Mission Advancement Committee are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 PAEA Don Pedersen Research Grant.

This year’s winners are:

Ryujin along with co-investigators Doris Dalton, MPA, and Trenton Honda, PhD, MMS, PA-C, will be studying the “Impact of Implicit Association Tests on Under-Represented Minority Admissions in Physician Assistant Programs.”

Valentin is joined by co-investigator Christine Everett, PhD, MPH, PA-C, for their study “The Effect of State Scope of Practice Laws on Physician Assistant Wage: An Analysis of United States Data from 2007-2017.”

Crabtree and her co-principal investigator, Ryan Adler, MS, PA-C, and co-investigator Roger Kunes, MMSc, PA-C, will be researching “Online Point-of-Care Ultrasound Training for Physician Assistant Students at Resource-Limited Institutions: A Pilot Study.”

The Don Pedersen Research Grants Program, generously endowed by the Pedersen family,  is intended to foster PA faculty development in the area of research about both PA education and PA workforce issues.
