The Physician Assistant (PA) Program Director provides leadership and vision to advance the mission of the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, preparing master's level primary care Physician Assistants educated in all aspects of healthcare including geriatrics, health promotion, disease prevention, and public health practice. Special emphasis is placed on training clinicians prepared to provide primary care to rural and urban underserved populations. The Director of the Physician Assistant Program is a full-time, 12-month position reporting directly to the Dean of Health Science.
The candidate must meet the following minimum required qualifications:
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Physician Assistant Studies
- Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a minimum of at least three years of full-time higher education experience in an accredited program
- Active PA-C Licensure
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and health equity
- Knowledge of and experience in the ARC-PA accreditation process
